Works under the general supervision of the Regional Account
Management Director (RAMD), selling Windstream products and
services which include but are not limited to: MPLS, Managed
Router Service, CPE and Dedicated Internet with possible on-net
solutions. The Account Management Group is primarily focused
on accounts previously sold by Windstream's Direct and Indirect
Channel. This group focuses on account retention and
incremental growth opportunities with existing accounts.

Account Responsibility
- Overall responsibility for the management of a small group of
assigned accounts, focusing on retention (through securing long
term contracts) and profitable growth of existing revenue
streams as well as conducting strategic planning activities to
ensure customers' product and service needs are anticipated.
- Maintain on-going communications with entire account base
through various mediums.
- Identify and manage customer requests for service to maintain
above average quota and revenue goal attainment.
- Provide professional and technical advice on business
applications to ensure account satisfaction by fulfilling customer
needs.
- Respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Manage relationships with all points of contact within a client's
organization to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
Product Responsibility
- Represent Windstream's entire converged product portfolio
with special focus on next generation data products.
- Maintain a solid understanding of all the major product groups
and applications associated with these product groups.
- Coordinate with Engineering and sales support to complete
product configuration and ensure successful installation of CPE
products.
Sales Process Responsibility
- Use computer applications to create proposals and/or
presentations.
- Input current account information as well as prospecting
account status into pipeline management tool.
- Give on site presentations to existing and prospective clients
while utilizing sales techniques in order to close sales.
- Ongoing account retention and growth efforts.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Program Manager, FDA/NIH Tobacco Regulation and Addiction Center Award in our National Center office in Dallas, TX.

    The Program Manager will serve as the operations management lead for a new FDA/NIH-funded American Heart Association Tobacco Regulation and Addiction Center (A-TRAC), in collaboration with 6 other university partners. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all Center administration and communication activities, with a wide range of duties to ensure that the center runs efficiently and effectively.
    This position is part of an AHA grant and is expected to last 4 to 5 years.

    Major Responsibilities Include:

    • Managing all communications among the Center partners, and serving as the primary resource for all program administration tasks
    • Coordinating all logistics for meetings, conferences and webinars as well as manage all business update communications, both regularly scheduled and ad-hoc
    • Facilitating all activities for the various Center committees, including the Executive Committee, External Advisory committee, a publications committee and others that may be convened by the Center
    • Managing the Center’s business and financial affairs, facilitating all necessary procurement and monitoring budget pipelines, including preparation of monthly budget reports
    • Serving as the Center’s liaison with all AHA administrative departments, including finance, procurement, research, legal and government grants to ensure the Center is in compliance with internal policies and sponsor regulations
    • Preparing annual scientific reports, coordinating information from all Center partners into one cohesive whole, as well as aiding the Finance office in preparing financial reports
    • Working closely with the Principal Investigators and Government Grants Director to ensure communications with the sponsors are handled appropriately
    • Managing the regulatory compliance component of the Center, including but not limited to records for IRB approvals and training, animal use approvals, and intellectual property issues
    • Assisting with the management of the pilot project program, which funds early career investigators through carefully selected and strategic research projects of direct relevance to Center priorities

    Required Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • At least 4 years of experience in program management for NIH/Government awards.
    • Knowledge of various research programs (NIH, NHLBI, AHA)
    • Excellent volunteer managament skills, specifically science volunteers
    • Ability to write, edit and produce formal documents of communication
    • Impeccable organizational skills
    • Ability to produce, manage and understand financial documents
    • Knowledge of various types of research administration software
    • Ability to manage project time and workload efficiently.
    • Ability to think logically and solve problems.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to travel 5-10%.

    Merchant Financing is a new business group within Global Merchant Services (GMS) that provides commercial lending to American Express merchants. The business was launched in 2011 and is a key strategic area of growth for GMS. The Merchant Financing program provides differentiated value to small and mid-sized merchants by addressing their need for convenient and price-competitive financing (loans). Merchant Financing is a high growth business with key objectives of enhancing value to our merchant partners while driving revenue and profitability growth.

    The Senior Manager, Regional Sales will report to the Director of Field Sales in Merchant Financing. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the GMS Managed Merchant teams to develop and broaden relationships with our highest value and potential small-to-medium sized merchants featuring the usefulness of our financing solutions. They will be responsible for leveraging these merchant relationships across multiple industries to drive new loan enrollments within an assigned territory, with a focus on merchants with American Express charge volume of $500K to $10M.

    Key responsibilities include (Senior Manager):

    * Building a robust sales pipeline projecting three to four quarters in the future Senior Manager
    * Utilizing customer relationship management tools for generating and tracking prospects
    * Leverage GMS Managed Merchant teams to obtain warm introductions as well as generating own activity
    * Utilizing consultative selling practices whilst conducting merchant visits to identify develop and close leads for new loan enrolments to meet AR and revenue targets within key target verticals, eg. Retail and Restaurant
    *Senior Manager Investigate and determine viability of opportunities for other industry verticals
    * Gathering and sharing best practices, sales strategies, as well as marketplace and competitive intelligence from the assigned territory Senior Manager
    *Senior Manager Understanding competitive industry financing options to leverage key points of differentiation and identify potential new features

    Qualifications (Senior Manager)

    * Bachelor’s degree
    * 3-5 years of experience in consultative selling of card/ loan/ financing solutions
    * Demonstrated success in pipeline management, strategic account management, and portfolio planning
    * Proven history of developing sales strategies, closing sales, driving and exceeding results
    * Strong teamwork, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills
    * High degree of business acumen and analytical skills, including the ability to understand financial statements
    * Demonstrated ability to work virtually, prioritize and self-sufficiently turn leads in to sales
    * Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
    * Proficiency with PC applications is necessary (i.e. MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Salesforce.com)
    * Well developed project and time management skills required
    * Experience working with small-medium size businesses advantageous
    * Applicant must have a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to work from a home office environment
    * Overnight travel required – as much as 25% travel within territory
