This position is for the IBM Mobile Solution Practice in downtown Toronto. The Mobile Solution Practice develops complete mobile solutions for our customers using a variety of technologies. Our team is looking for IT professionals with solid experience and success building native mobile applications for Apple iOS devices.

Main Responsibilities:
We are seeking applicants who will work with our mobile development teams on innovative mobile applications for our clients in travel and transportation, financial services, and other industries.
Candidates should have knowledge and experience creating iOS native application using Apple's Xcode development tools and major iOS frameworks. Strong knowledge and experience in Objective-C is a must. Candidates should also be familiar with Apple's device provisioning and developer portal as well as Instruments and the Xcode debugger. Familiarity with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and App Store requirements is also expected.

Candidates should have a strong passion for mobile applications, software development, technology, and creative problem solving. Strong teaming skills and ability to grow into a leadership position is very important to this role. We are looking for candidates who take initiative, exhibit strong creative thinking, have the drive to turn ideas into reality, and have a passion for user experience.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
-Graduate from an Engineering or Computer Science program (or equivalent) with at least 2 years work experience in native iOS app development.
-Excellent analytical and problem determination skills
-Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
-Experience in other mobile native technologies such as Android, Blackberry 10 and/or Windows 8 mobile is a strong plus
-Experience in following technologies: HTML, HTML5, Javascript, AJAX, CSS, Worklight, DoJo, JQuery, Sencha, Adobe Flash / Flex is an advantage
-Experience in Java and J2EE technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, etc. is an advantage
-Experience in SQL or database design/management is an advantage
-Detail oriented and creative with a questioning mind

Travel is based on client and project requirements.

Required

• Bachelor's Degree

• English: Fluent
