Onsite Coordinator - JAVA
OVERALL SUMMARY
This is an Onsite Coordinator role with expertise in Java/JEE
technologies. The candidate must have strong analytical thinking, communication,
and software design skills. The candidate will contribute to development,
deployment, and maintenance of technology-based business solutions. The candidate must be skilled in designing,
coding, testing, and implementing configuration changes to software applications
to meet both functional and technical requirements. The onsite resource will be
the primary liaison between Client and the vendor and will be responsible for
managing all support issues and development tasks to

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES .... Onsite Coordinator - JAVA
• Assist in developing architecturally sound, modular,
component-driven applications.
• Demonstrate leadership capabilities by providing direction to and
mentoring for less experienced members of the development
team.
• Provide project leaders with timely and accurate status of the
development tasks.
• Develop analysis-level documents that reflect the
requirements.
• Maintain system and design documentation, and prepare materials for
project reviews.
• Perform the implementation and production release phases of
project.
• Adhere to Client’s software development life-cycle processes and
also complete documentation of business processes and systems.
• Provide development support during QA and UAT
phases.
• Work with application DBAs and other internal IT groups on
development activities.
• Weigh business and technical requirements to produce
estimates.
• Periodic knowledge sharing with the team.
REQUIREMENTS.... Onsite Coordinator - JAVA
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and assess
priority.
• Strong analytical thinking skills demonstrated during software
development projects.
• Prior experience both leading and participating in the analysis,
design and development (coding) of client/server business
applications.
• Effective oral and written communications
abilities.
• Strong understanding of standard software development lifecycle
methodologies including agile methodologies such as scrum.
• Strong understanding of all aspects of corporate software
development; strong client, server, database, and reporting
skills.
• Excellent Java development skills (design and
coding).
• Knowledge of and experience with Analysis and Design
Patterns.
• Experience using UML (Unified Modeling Language).
• Experience with media business systems is a plus.
EXPERIENCE .... Onsite Coordinator - JAVA
• 5+ years of experience with: Full life cycle, large-scale
application development in a Java/JEE, SQL/Oracle, Linux/Unix
environment.
• 3+ years of experience in leading projects and managing
teams.
• 3+ years of experience with: Server-tier technologies such as
Spring/Hibernate, EJB or Toplink, and JMS.
• 3+ years of experience with: Domain Driven Design/UML, Design
Patterns, and various integration approaches.
• 3+ years of experience with Build/Development tools such as CVS,
Subversion, Ant, Maven, JUnit, Cruise Control/Bamboo, and
Jira.
• 2+ years of experience with Web Services implementation using REST
and EAI with ESB.
• Hands on experience with presentation tier technologies using
Swing, JavaScript, GWT, and HTML/CSS.
• Hands on experience with Weblogic and JBoss application server
setup and configuration.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or
majors relevant to Computer Science required.
• Hands on experience with Java profilers such as YourKit or Visual
VM is a plus.
