Senior Systems Engineer – Broadband Wireless

Job Description

This position shall be responsible to develop deep technical understanding of Waseela’s broadband wireless product lines and become subject-matter-expert in technologies and solutions identified by management. The position is required to provide advanced system design, system integration and research and development activities in the domain of broadband wireless solutions. Responsibilities mainly include:
 Build deep understanding of the industry ecosystem and competitive landscape for the solutions of interest to the company
 Perform products features analysis, define roadmaps to ensure and maintain the competitive edge of the company’s solutions
 Study and analyze wireless standards, certification requirements and ensure the compliancy of company’s products to desired standards and certifications
 Develop algorithms and protocols to implement product capabilities and features in the domain of advanced broadband wireless technologies
 Build test cases for verifying the compliancy of products to desired feature and performance requirements
 Build and maintain deep technical understanding of broadband wireless technologies that are based on OFDM and MIMO techniques
 Build and maintain deep technical understanding of IEEE 802.11 based technologies
 Conduct computer simulations and technical trials and experiments to achieve the research objectives
 Perform presentations to internal teams and to partners relevant to the activities of the department

Skills

• M.Sc. in E.E. from a reputable university
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a product development field
• Fluent English language skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong understanding of the digital communication theory
• Strong understanding of the IEEE 802.11 or IEEE 802.16 technologies is a plus
• Experience in PCBA is a plus
