Our client, an East End based London Housing Association is looking for an electrical technical officer to join their building services team to carry out pre and post inspections to electrical works.
Technical Officer - You must be:
Competent with the operation of IT equipment computers and hand held devices.
Experienced in electrical systems and lift maintenance.
Able to communicate well with all service users.
The ability to work at heights and confined spaces.
To be able to visit residents within their homes including vulnerable residents.
Technical Officer - Key objectives:
Liaise with contractors and members of the public on a daily basis either by e-mail, phone or face to face.
Management of the diary appointments for residents meetings and contracts monitoring and technical meetings.
To deliver local technical services to maintain the property, meeting statutory requirements, resident's priorities and best practice.
To develop an effective partnership with the appointed maintenance and repairs contractors.
To fully contribute to the work of the team in maintaining the property within a framework of improving quality and cost effectiveness.
Technical Officer - Responsibilities:
To undertake the following functions in accordance with statutory requirements and performance targets:
Monitoring cyclical maintenance work and maintain records and certification.
Assist in the prompt turnaround of void premises reinstatement.
Liaise with contractors and members of the public on a daily basis either by e-mail, phone or face to face.
Monitor, appraise and report regularly on contractor performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary to ensure that contract, quality and budget requirements are met.
Providing technical support and advice on LV Electrical, Lifts, Controlled Entry systems, CCTV systems, Television reception systems and other building service related matters as required.
