Chemonics seeks a software engineer to develop and maintain the company's IT enterprise-level systems. This position is located in Washington, D.C. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. 

Responsibilities include:

Design and develop enterprise-level systems per requirements; Conduct unit testing and buy versus build analysis and create application development documentation; Collaborate with application architect to design enterprise- level solutions; Participate in IT organizational process improvement initiatives; Work with project staff and clients and ensure that appropriate parties are involved and engaged to achieve project goals; Partner with business and IT leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT capabilities; Identify problems and suggest solutions that the IT department can implement; Champion software engineering best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:  SOFTWARE ENGINEER WASHINGTON

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required; Minimum six years of application development experience with Microsoft.NET Framework, ASP.NET/C#, and Web Services required; Experience with SQL, SharePoint, and SDLC required; Understanding of information systems, business processes, and the key drivers and measures of success for the company; Ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge; Ability to operate at advanced levels of authority and manage significant activities and resources to produce and take responsibility for results; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; Ability to manage and supervise staff and special initiatives; Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
